JJJ

Julie, Julia and Jess. Yeah, Jess. Take that. Actually, I really have nothing in common with either of the other J. Actually, I do love food. A lot. Extremely a lot. Enormously a lot. But I can't really cook. Only bake a few cookies, fake a few recipes. You know. Kid stuff. In fact I decimated, disrespected, defamed a couple of recipes. But I did make a very tasty brussels sprouts casserole. Thanksgiving was a feast. . . of exhaustion. I loved it! I cannot tell you how much spending a few days with my sweet mama picked up my spirits. We talked and talked and talked and talked and talked and talked. It was fantastical. My littlest biggest brother murdered small animals, the rest of my family helped in the slaughter and the feasting (of actual food). I really adore my family, but sometimes they can suck the festivity of you. My mama whisked me away from it all. We escaped through the food we made for the family. I love food. She loves food. We looooooove food. Ask our waists, oh wait, you can't find them? Eh we can't either. No worries, the food can. That's the important part. This combined love of food may be the reason I may be getting a 5 quart Kitchenaid Artisan series mixer, pistachio! Yummy. All of the recipes that I can make without endangering my elbow and shoulder. Well, I love my life right now.

A preview of what I will be bringing to the table!

Thanks Pioneer Woman and Food Network, you're the best.

Turkey Day vs Term Papers

Why, oh why must my professors cast such a dark shadow on Turkey Day! Especially this Turkey Day. This is the first year I have held a part time job and have gone to school full time. I know that thousands of students do what I do, but that doesn't make me miss my mama less. It's been months since I have seen her and I miss her dearly. Thankfully, she is venturing across state to spend the day with my brother and me. Sadly, my assignments hold precedence over time with my mother. Hopefully I will be able to knock them out in the next couple of days before she gets here. Hold up! I have one other issue that may just be my undoing. I am the world's worst for procrastinating. I have known about these assignments yet I have put them off time and again. I find little projects to keep me busy like the Page's Felt Flower Winter Wreath, or Pioneer Woman's Nantucket Cranberry Pie. Both absolutely fantastic and not a waste of time at all. . . but I really should be focusing on school work in my spare time.
